This week the color of flower at the park has been changed from pink to yellow with the blossom of "Copper Pod Tree" or "Yellow Flame Tree" or นนทรี in Thai. (the left picture)

The right picture is another yellow flower at the park. It is the "Silver Trumpet Tree" or เหลืองปรีดิยาธร in Thai, another Tabebuia argentea (Same family, Bignoniaceae, with the Pink Trumpet Tree). Tabebuia is a genus containing around 100 species.

I'm interested in the Thai names for the various Tabebuias.

Could you please let me know if the following Thai names are correct?

- Tabebuia rosea "Pink trumpet-tree" (Chomphu pantip or Chompu india)

- Tabebuia pallida "Cuban pink trumpet tree" (Wai sida)

- Tabebuia chrysantha "Dwarf Golden Tabebuia" (Lueang india)

Just for interests sake, which do you find the prettiest Tabebuia when in flower?

Oh, sorry I came across to your comment quite late. Quite frankly, I have no idea much about the tree, but will looking forward to seeing more of Tabebuia especially the Wai sida and Lueang india.

Thanks for stop by at my blog.
