Phra Meru

Since there were tens of thousands of mourners on the Royal cremation ceremony last week; I could not go near the main area of the ceremony. Therefore, I decide to visit the Phra Meru again. But others tens of thousands of people also think the same, so my pictures taken with the 18-55 mm lens all go through the cropping process.

"Kinnaree is a mythical creature in the Himmapan forest. There are two types of Kinnaree. One is half woman half bird and the other is a woman-like creature with wings and tail to fly.
Kinnaree statues are located on the North where the loyal urn is transferred to Phra Meru. Each of the Kinnaree is holding a lotus for HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana to give them to the God in heaven."

Apsornsiha is a mythical creature with upper body of a human and a lower part of a Singh or a deer.
Apsornsiha are located on the West where their Majester the King, Queen and the Royal Family Members walk up Phra Meru to perform the religious ceremony. Each of the Apsornsiha is putting their hands together in “wai” gesture as if they are paying respect to the King, Queen and the Royal Family Members.
