Day 2 from Manali to Sarchu (approximately 222 kilometers)
Today we visit the Hadimba Devi Temple before departing for Sarchu.
It is so cloudy at Rohtang la pass which is 3,978 meters above sea level. Since we are not accustom to the high altitude, we all had begun taking “Diamox” since last night.
Beautiful flower field during the spring season.
Arriving at Himalayan Saga Delux Camp so late at night. It is so dark, cold and windy that I forgo taking the camp picture at night with lots of stars above. Many of our trip member skip the dinner and go straight to bed either because of the high altitude symptom or the tiredness. Sarchu area is about 4,300 meters above sea level.
